Important Information for Families

Welcome to Swigert Middle School – Home of the Titans! Below is helpful information to support a smooth and successful school experience for our students and families.

🕘 School & Office Hours

  • Regular School Hours: 8:35 AM – 3:45 PM
  • 2-Hour Delay Schedule: 10:35 AM – 3:45 PM
  • Office Hours: 8:15 AM – 4:20 PM

Students must be seated in class by 8:35 AM. Arrival more than 10 minutes late counts as an unexcused absence unless a parent/guardian sign them in.

Due to the high volume of calls, if your call is not answered, please leave a detailed message including your student’s full name, your name, and a callback number. We appreciate your patience.

🪪 Student Pick-Up & IDs

  • A valid photo ID is required when picking up a student.
  • Students should always carry their school ID.
  • Replacement student IDs cost $5 each time they are lost.

📝 Attendance Reminders

  • To excuse an absence due to illness, please contact attendance.
  • After a student has been absent for three consecutive days, a doctor’s note is required.
  • Parents/guardians have 48 hours to excuse an absence. After 48 hours, absences cannot be changed.
  • For pre-arranged absences, including family emergencies, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice and submit a completed pre-arranged absence form.
